Many learning management systems (LMS) have apps for use on mobile devices. These apps primarily allow users to create courses, manage courses, and participate in courses in a more convenient mobile format. Because an app on a mobile device controls what other apps are enabled through its use, netTrekker may behave differently via the different LMS apps.
For example, an app for the Canvas LMS may cause the netTrekker content in a course to be launched in a new browser app window rather than within the app frame due to the limited size available for viewing the content. Additionally, the literacy support tools available with netTrekker resources may fail to initiate or function properly due to the app controlling the experience versus netTrekker controlling the experience within its application.
