Providing all users with easy access to the 360,000+ Learning Resources Content Collection learning resources is a critical component of netTrekker’s successful implementation and adoption in your school/district. There are a variety of ways to provide convenient access to netTrekker from school, home or tablet. Discuss the best option for your users with your Account Manager.
The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) allows users to authenticate into netTrekker with their existing network username using Microsoft Active Directory, NetIQ eDirectory or OpenLDAP. The major advantage with this option is that users do not need to remember a username specific to netTrekker, and username will remain current as districts update their directory. You will need to update any access points to netTrekker with new unique netTrekker LDAP URL address. Complete the LDAP Integration Request form to request access. All usernames and passwords for teachers, students, and administrators can be bulk loaded via a CSV file provided to your Account Manager. For usernames, we recommend the use of teacher and administrator email addresses and student ID numbers to ensure uniqueness. You may choose to use the same password for multiple users. Enables netTrekker to integrate with other learning applications that your district already uses, such as learning management systems (LMS), portals, or other educational environments. netTrekker is compliant with Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI)™ v1.0, which allows applications to securely connect to an educational platform through one standard method. With the integration of LTI v1.0, netTrekker subscribers can access content and tools through single sign-on access from district technology systems currently in place, allowing netTrekker’s digital learning resources to be easily incorporated into technology educators already use for lesson planning, classroom instruction and assessment. To establish LTI with netTrekker, contact your Account Manager with your request for LTI. A technical support team will send to you the necessary credentials to share with the LTI Tool Consumer, along with the netTrekker logo for your website. Username/Password
